Today, RRE is proud to welcome Vic Singh to our General Partnership, marking a significant milestone in our firm’s evolution. A former Associate at RRE and a founding GP of Eniac Ventures, Vic brings over two decades of experience as a venture capitalist, founder, and builder. His return underscores RRE’s commitment to generational growth and our conviction in AI as a seismic shift with profound implications for value creation and outlier returns.

Vic’s return to RRE is a full-circle moment, rich with history. He began learning venture capital nearly 20 years ago as a student — and later teaching assistant — for the Venture Capital Seminar taught by RRE GPs Will Porteous and Stuart Ellman at Columbia Business School. Vic officially started his venture career at the firm in 2006, honing his craft under the mentorship of our founders, James Robinson and Stuart Ellman. That foundation laid the groundwork for him to co-found Eniac Ventures, one of the leading institutional seed firms, and build multiple venture-backed startups as a founder. In his first startup, Raju Rishi, now an RRE GP, served as an advisor and independent Board Director. Over the years, our relationship with Vic has deepened personally and professionally through co-investments, board collaborations, and a shared ethos of the GP-centric boutique partnership model. These longstanding relationships across the partnership have fostered a deep trust and shared vision, making Vic’s return to RRE a natural evolution.

Last year, Vic set out to launch a new venture firm built from first principles and powered by Originalis, the AI Operating System for the Private Capital Markets. At the same time, RRE was developing internal AI tools to enhance our operations. The stars aligned, and RRE led the $5 million seed round in Originalis — designed to supercharge private capital markets by driving speed, access, leverage and efficiency — giving GPs time for higher-order work with founders.

“Vic is a friend and a true original. A seasoned founder, investor, and builder who has been part of the RRE family for 20 years,” said Stuart Ellman, Co-Founder of RRE Ventures. “When he shared his vision for Originalis, it was serendipitous. It became clear that we had an incredible opportunity to not only support Originalis but also bring Vic into our General Partnership to help lead RRE into the future. This is an exciting moment as we invest in generational growth and value creation with AI, while staying true to our core mission of backing the best for the distance.”

“Jim and Stu made a bet on a scrappy engineer with dreams of being a venture capitalist. They gave me a shot at the business and I have learned so much from RRE over the years,” said Vic Singh. After years of tribal knowledge in the arena, I identified an opportunity to upend the game by building the operating system to amplify the art of the business, a vision shared by my partners at RRE. I am honored to join RRE’s leadership team and support founders from inception through growth and beyond, amplifying the art of venture with the power of AI.”
